Order this repair service if your Apple HomePod 1st Gen (Model: A1639, MPN: MQHV2LL/A or MQHW2LL/A) shows symptoms of “No-Power”, in that it is completely unresponsive when plugged in to a power outlet. This symptom is often caused by a shorted-out Schottky barrier diode on the amplifier board. To remedy the problem, the faulty diode is desoldered, and a brand new diode from a good known production batch is soldered back on to the amplifier board.

In addition, we bolster the padding between the subwoofer and the support frame as well as the woofer and the top ring to stem any potential rattles that may be caused due to aging rubber grommets that anchor the woofer to the frame. We use a high-density 3M foam tape for this additional padding, which is offered to you, our valued customer, as a complementary service at no additional charge.

This super-convenient mail-in repair service works in three easy steps:

  1. YOU SHIP YOUR HOMEPOD TO US: We provide you with a prepaid shipping label (and a QR code if you’d rather have the US Postal Service print and apply the label for you at the counter). You use this label to ship your HomePod in a box, delivered to a US Post Office.
  2. WE DIAGNOSE AND FIX YOUR HOMEPOD: We will fix your HomePod within 2 business days, reset your HomePod to test connectivity, update its firmware/software to the latest version from Apple, and reset it to get it ready to be paired again with your network.
  3. WE SHIP YOUR REPAIRED HOMEPOD BACK TO YOU: We will ship your HomePod back you with a tracking number.
